Common questions
How do I record a drive?
Mount your phone, open Record and tap Start. When you're done, hold Finish. With “Always” location permission, Spirited can also notice you're driving and record by itself.
How does a famous road start by itself?
Open a road, tap Drive this, and head to its start line. When you reach it and start moving, Spirited begins recording. Plan it with Always location permission, or keep the app or CarPlay open on the way.
Does it work with CarPlay?
Yes. Start, pause and finish a drive, plan a famous road, get directions to its start, or cancel a plan, all from your car's screen.
Will it drain my battery?
GPS uses power while a drive records, as with any navigation app. Plug your phone in for long drives. A paused drive switches to low-power location.
Why was my drive not saved?
Drives shorter than a few hundred meters aren't kept. Very short trips are usually a mis-start.
Are my shared drives private?
By default, share cards hide your time, your top speed and the first and last 500 m of the route. You can change all three in the app.
Can I export my drives?
Yes. Open a drive and export it as a GPX file to use in other apps.
How do I delete my data?
Delete a drive from its page or a car from your garage. Deleting the app removes everything. Nothing is stored on our side. See the privacy policy.
A road is missing or wrong
Tell us at support@spiritedroad.com with the road's name and where it starts and ends. We add roads regularly.
